This may not be big news, but I hit the blizzard site real quik tonight adn saw that they are giving D2 another pathc, 1.11. There is a new boss named Lilith and some nwe stuff called party only skills. Visit www.blizzard.com for 8 new screen shots. New boss may be a new world event or soemthing, new rune words supposedly and new skills, maybe even act6 (specualtaion in the forums). Anyway, thoguht I would let people know since this was the game many people played before Guild Wars

Yeah, nice...but Lilith looks an awful lot like Andariel.

Yes she does. For some reason a chinese blizzard website seems to be getting all the ifno, and some people are attempting to translate the info. One thing said that Lilith can appear in any game, anywhere, so a person must explore from den of evil to the throne room to find her. She supposedly drops a special item that you can only obtain from her. Alot lot the D2 clone, but seems a little funner.

They are trying to promote people to go out and explore the maps as was suggested thoroughly in the battle.net forums.

i was told they would make a patch.. i never believed it would actualy happen.. i guess i better dust of my account and check it out...

I wonder if Lilith has anything to do with Morgan from Darkstalkers?

From what im hearing she sounds a lot like "Diablo-clone" (AKA uber-diablo, but its over used so i dont like that name)

well, I hope that boss (as well as the THIRD Diablo!?) drops more good items, as they badly nerfed the 1.10 patch upon it coming out... but maybe it might be interesting for Ye Olde Dungeon Players to sharpen their level 99 skills and possibly kill more demons

By the way, Lilith is Andariel, maybe even tougher, so just be careful not to get on the wrong side of bed when it kills your level 99 in hardcore!

All my BNet friends are getting worked up over it. One of them even stopped playing WoW to go play D2.. Ugh. ;/

The people on the battle.net forums would get worked up if they announced a D2-toaster.

I loved D2 for years, but it's all played out for me. Not even a new patch could bring me back.

I agree to a point. Im just gonna play the game for a little while, just to check out the patch. No game has ever been so addicting, it is so easy to pick up and play and it just seems more addictive than guild wars. If I could change one thing in Guild Wars , I would make more item modifying stats, oh, and some bosses that are actually hard ( even though d2 didnt have that either).

New update, the Realms are down now. Supposed to be down from 1-5 pm, US eastern. The patxh is now being installed. Also, when you get on, use no hacks such as maphack or bots, they are being detected really fast and will get ur accounts banned.

Minor Bugs

- Running the game with -install no longer causes the game to be installed
as a Windows Service. -install is now ignored.
- Sometimes the seals in Diablo's lair would not activate. This has been
corrected.
- Character expiration messages have been updated to reflect the
expiration policy implemented in patch 1.10.
- Unidentified items sometimes caused other set items to display green for
items the player does not have. This has been corrected.
- The German mouseover text for the Ist rune has been corrected.
- Account recovery is now allowed for existing accounts whose name is only
one or two characters.
- When leaving a game on Battle.net, you will now be brought back to the
channel in which you were previously.
- Transmuting an ethereal item now retains the ethereal stats bonuses.
- In Japanese Lord of Destruction, items that add to all Assassin skills

Fixed Game Exploits

- It is no longer possible to bypass the 10-second hostility timer by
activating a waypoint at the same time as declaring hostility.
- Uber Diablo is no longer killed when Shenk the Overseer or Blood Raven
die nearby.
- Necromancers with Trang-Oul's Set equipped could sometimes become
invincible to attack. This has been corrected.
- Blessed Hammer no longer remains active while in town, preventing
players from subsequently declaring hostility and having the hammers hit
other players for damage.
- Set items retained their multi-piece bonuses after the player died, even
though they were removed. This has been corrected.
- Items with skill-charging effects will no longer give synergy bonuses to
skills when equipped on a character without those skills.
- Pasting from the Clipboard no longer allows the creation of characters
with more than one dash or underscore in their name.

Bug/exploit fixes - good
Hireling stuff -good. Always hated the way they didn't scale with your level
New runewords - who cares, if you're pure-legit you'll never get the runes anyway
New items - who cares
New bosses/monsters - could be fun but I'd have to create a new account and start all over and doing so just to play a small new area or two....blah.

I'll let my friends take screenies and I'll enjoy it vicariously that way. hehe

They didn't reset the ladder, only thing I was looking forward too. I always liked trying to power level and be in the top 100, did so last time.
